Basically the Tile is Done!

Being laid that is!  After church last night, I went out to the house and started laying the last portions of the tile.  One area was around the entry way from the garage door - there was just too much traffic and people working to lay it while folks were around.  After that I had another short section behind our firelogs.  That did not take too long - but involved more cutting than the other side. Oh, I still have one small linen closet to get done - I will try to do that Thursday evening. It will only take a few minutes.
I was locked out of it tonight!

Now, the grouting is coming along. It is possible that we might finish all that by Friday or Saturday.  Next on tap is painting trim, baseboards, door facings and doors. Also, we have to finish the hardi plank on the porches.

Got a Lot of Tile Down Today!

We laid tile all day today. We are not too far from having it done. (well, we still have to grout.)  I was in a hurry, so, unfortunately, a couple of the pics are a bit blurred.

My First Experience Laying Tile By Myself

Until today, I have been the tile man's assistant!!! I have been mixing the mud, cutting the tile on the wet saw, and generally doing whatever he needed.  Yesterday we had two going at once so I got real busy there for a while.  This morning we finished up a bathroom - and the my main tile man had to leave.

I decided that I could lay the hall bathroom by myself.  I did!  It turned out pretty good.  The first two pics are of my tile job - the last one with the shower is one Walter did.  I will have pics of what Robert did tomorrow when I have more light.
