From the account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego:
Daniel 3:16-18
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not , let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."
What are the BUT IF NOT'S of your life? These three men had been told that they would be burned alive if they did serve false gods and bow down to a golden image. They were absolutely confident in God's power to deliver them. However, their faithfulness to God was on full display in verse 18 - BUT IF NOT - if God's plan is to let us perish in the fire - then so be it - we will not bow down to idolatry!
What are your spiritual BUT IF NOT'S??
Are there spiritual non-negotiables for you! No matter what happens! Think about it! There should be many! The world is constantly pressing in on the church. If you don't know your BUT IF NOT'S before the world presses in on you - you may be devoured by compromise and sin! Think about it!
