Great ACTS event!

What A Great Week!!

This week has truly started wonderfully!

First - we had the great day on Sunday with Duals!  Wow! I just keep smiling!  And to see the room to grow!
Second - I was able to spend about 2 1/2 hours Monday afternoon working on the Acts study for Wednesday night! A couple more hours or so Tuesday and a review on Wednesday and I will be ready!
Third - I had some great experiences in prayer with others today in some surprising places!
Fourth - Monday night we had a fire department meeting!  It was good to see all the guys ( I had to miss last month) We have some equipment to work on this Saturday afternoon.
Fifth - It will be my privilege to talk with a Matt Celoria on Wednesday about a church plant he is working on in Arizona!  I hope that the Lord will open a pathway for us to be a part of that in some way!
Sixth - My prayer time today was particularly encouraging! God is never late - never lacking - and is never surprised!  Glory be to God!

Wonderful Results!

Perry Noble started a series on the subject of HELL at Newspring last Sunday, August 5th.  It had a rather interesting beginning which you check out for yourself.  But, the result was wonderful!

The Best Kind of Challenge

Perry Noble has posted about a wonderful challenge HERE ON HIS BLOG!  Imagine having over 1,000 people receive Christ in five weeks!  Every pastor in America could challenge their own church to this type of ingathering.  Numbers are relative! Perry believes that God has laid a 1000 people on his heart! That number might be higher or lower at another church! Goodness, God is in the "seeking and saving" business!  This is what He promises to bless - reaching out to people to claim them for Christ's kingdom. 

We set attendance goals, financial goals, new unit (groups or classes) goals, ministry goals etc.. Few churches set NEW BIRTH goals!  What a great challenge Perry is bringing before his people!  May the spirit of aggressive evangelism spread!!!

Keeps Getting Better

Bob Roberts @ Northwood Church just keeps on writing excellent posts - LIKE THIS ONE!  Bob recounts two of the greatest influences on the church as a whole by the charismatic movement!

If you would like to read about and follow a modern day equivalent of the book of Acts, read his BLOG and keep up with his church! It is amazing what God is doing with willing, risk taking, people!  The reality, God will use any church that will follow Him.  Bob is doing an excellent work leading Northwood to a truly "glocal" ministry!

God Moves on His People

We are so thankful for the additions to the Kingdom and the church that God is providing!  We had two professions of faith this morning with 5 other folks joining our church!  One of our professions of faith was a teenager - the other a man in his 40's!  He was saved in the service this morning.  Praise the Lord!

The Lord Continues to Bless Us

God is blessing us!  We have continued to see Professions of Faith almost weekly at ABC!  During the month of June and first Sunday of July we have had 7 professions of faith!
